It was founded in 1969 and started offering the actual Project Management Professional (PMP) examination and Certified Relate in Project Management (CAPM) qualifications in 1984. These exams are gaining a lot of popularity and demand in all areas of business and possess become the business standard PMP certification.

PMI certifies managers as professionals, or PMPs. The certification process requires that a candidate document some, 500 hours regarding work experience (roughly 4 to 5 many years of experience) and pass an online exam. Below shows the actual PMP exam information:

Likewise, PMI certifies project downline as a licensed associate in PM HOURS, or CAPMs. The certification process requires that the candidate documents 1, 500 hours of work (approximately 1 to 36 months of experience) or maybe more as a project staff member and complete an online exam. Below shows the CAPM exam information:

The main difference between both of these exams is the particular focus. Most of the actual CAPM questions are from the surface of the subject and more in regards to the processes. You can expect lot of direct questions related to process input, tools and components. However in PMP test, questions are a lot more trivial, tricky and deep in the subject. You can notice several scenario dependent questions where PMI wants to see whether an applicant can apply PMBOK guidelines when making a decision on a plan of action.
