We all need to take a break every once in a while because as proven by health experts, our generation living in a stressful world and in order to recuperate, we have to take small breaks.

A nice place to spend your vacation is in Cape Town which happens to be one of the culturally old cities of Africa. The African weather, inspiring sceneries and rich culture makes it the place to be on a 5 day vacation.

The place is host to a lot of museums, allowing tourists to learn about the history, geography and culture of Cape Town. The most popular among these are museums of natural history and museums on the local culture. A tourist can join a range of cultural tours to learn more about the people and how they organize their lives. Learn more about the apartheid by going through a tour on the small townships of the Niangua, Langa, Khayelitsha and other smaller towns.

Perhaps the most interesting town of all is the Bo Kaap which is the oldest existing community in Cape Town and perhaps Africa itself. The people living here were subjected to any forced removals, which is the primary reason for the preservation of the people's culture and ethnic identity. This place served as the area where slaves were housed back in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Its interesting to look and admire the architecture of Cape Town with its flat roofed square houses, round gable adorned churches and decorative mosques with their beautiful minarets. To experience much of Cape Town, you can plan a 5 day tour of the place starting off with a short orientation of the place. The first day is best spent on Boulder Beach and dropping a visit on the penguin colony. Afterwards, take a relaxing tour on Cape Town Peninsula National Park and Cape point if you have enough time remaining in the day. This national park is home to some wild baboons and indigenous Fybnos.

Your day 2 can be spent at Table Mountain and you can get there via cable car. While on Table Mountain, you may marvel at the city harbor and Atlantic Seaboard. If time permits it, spend the remaining of the day shopping for some African jewelry and accessories at Green Market Square. Day 3 can be spent in relaxation with wine tasting at the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Enjoy some nightlife at the cafes and bistros later. Your fourth day can be a mix of strolling and hiking at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The garden showcases African Flora.

Finally in your fifth day you can visit the popular Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.

If you have decided on going to Cape Town, take a look at some travel sites and book some Cape Town accommodation online. Most accommodations are inclusive of bed and breakfast in Cape Town.
